Romeo and Juliet

Both Romeo and Juliet were in love with someone else before they fell in love-at-first sight at a party. Did destiny bring them together? Are they soul mates? Do you believe in soul mates?

  1. I'm not sure whether or not destiny brought them together nor do I think they're soul mates. I personally don't believe at first sight, especially when it's between two hormone driven teenagers.

  3. I don't believe that destiny was the one who brought them together. Anything could of happened & they could of probably never met. I personally don't believe in love at first sight. It something that should take time & be natural

  4. I believe that destiny brought them together because Romeo could have simply have not gone to the party or many other possibilities. The point is that Romeo did go to the party and met Juliet and they "fell in love at first sight". Don't really believe in "love at first sight" but "lust/attraction at first sight".

Are they soul mates? It's tough to say because they are both very young (Juliet being 13) and who knows what may have happen, but if they believe they were then why not.

I also believe in soul mates because I think everyone is meant to be with someone whether or not right away or years from now.

  5. Did destiny bring Romeo and Juliet together? I think so. Since Romeo and Juliet is a fictional story, I believe that Shakespeares original vision was to have them meet by destiny. They story is amazing of how they first met. It was attraction at first sight which does happen alot in the modern world. Some people are just attracted to a person at first sight.

  6. I do believe romeo and Juliet were in fact soul mates. Two individuals willing to sever all ties to their families for the sake of love obviously have a strong bond. I would say that destiny brought them together, and was in fact their demise. I think they were destined to parish trying to live happily ever after.

  7. I don't think destiny brought them together, i was more like coincidence. If Romeo didn't decide to crash the party he would have never met Juliet. They wouldn't have been soul mates if they didn't meet. I don't believe in it at all, mostly because its a lost cause in finding true love and soul mates due to the fact that they might not be here around.

  8. I dont believe in love at first sight but i do feel they were made for each other. It was more a coincidence that they met but everything happens for a reason. You never know who you may meet and where you may meet them at.

  9. I definitely do not believe in love at first sight. I do think Romeo & Juliet were good together but you can't just fall in love with someone right when you lay eyes on them!! You don't even know them!!

  11. Personally, i believe in love at first sight. Therfore i think Romeo and juliet were soulmates because the hearts desire comes from within and if they were both willing to give up or leave the other lover they had just to be with eacother, even though this is the first time they've met, shows alot courage and devotion on both romeo and juliets part. It was fate that brought them together, and fate got them killed.

  12. I believe in soul mates but not in love at first sight. Fate brought them together because they fell madly in love with each other.

  13. I don't think the idea of soulmates exist, but humans are often taken certain aspects when it comes to love and over exaggerate them. I think when you find some one you love and adore, you convince yourself to think that you have found your soulmate.
