When working in dramatic exercises your inner dialogue should be functioning. Asking yourself such questions as, “what is the purpose of this exercise? Why do I feel so dumb doing this? What is going on here? And so on. Elaborate on your personal growth from the beginning of the semester to this half-way point. Are you more comfortable being in front of audience?
Yes, there is a definite change in the comfort of me and the audience. The yoga exercises are a lot of fun and I enjoy them. There should be more yoga sessions in the morning and more games to play.

I honestly feel better interacting with people and working with them. I would like to do more theater exercises in class, and as well some more games. They wake me up in every morning.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, I feel more comfortable doing the yoga and the theatre exercises then I did in the beginning because wasn't familiar with my classmate nor doing the exercises especially the yoga; felt strange doing the downward dog.
ReplyDeleteNow, I enjoy them and look forward of doing them since it's fun and relaxing and not that embarrassing.

At the beginning of the class I felt very uncomfortable performing in front of the class but as the semester went on I felt a lot more comfortable and feel better now. The exercises actually helped a lot overtime while getting to know my classmates as well.

ReplyDeleteIf anything, I'd say i'm just a little bit more comfrontable doing the yoga and stretches then I was at the beginning of the semester. But in all honestly, I still feel a tad stupid doing yoga poses named after animals such as the scared cat, or striking cobra.

ReplyDeleteIn the beginning, i felt a little nervous performing in front of everyone. However, over time i began to feel more comfortable performing. Everyone's supportive of each other and it helps when you have that. Plus we usually get a good laugh when we perform anyways so it's like saying "I'm going to perform to have fun".

In the beginning i thought that i was not going to like this class but throughout the semester i've actually enjoyed this class. I feel much more comfortable performing in front of audiences now. I really enjoy the mini yoga before class begins. The yoga and stretches actually wakes you up and helps you to be more alert through out the day.
ReplyDeleteIn the very beginning, I felt that all of these excersise were pointless. I didn't feel any connection between the excersize done before a play. It took me a while to adjust but I finally got it around October. I understand the need to extend some of the excersise because it is so early in the morning and our bodies aren't ready to function physically and mentally.

I have to admit in the beginning I was very skeptical. Over time, I have really learned to become more comfortable performing and also doing our yoga. It actually helps wake me up after my first class and helps me be more alert. Our performances are getting better and better and plus, we all get a great laugh!

I wasn’t really uncomfortable performing in front of the class because I overcome my fear by doing plus size modeling. Being in front of an audience that you don’t know is not as bad as being in front of your classmates. At first I thought people would make fun of me because of my size. But then I realized that I just have to be comfortable with who I am and work well with others to make a performance work.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, swinging my hands from side to side, making funny noises and stretching in front of strangers was quite weird. coupled with improvising performances with people i dont know wasnt easy. Now however, i have no problem doing either, i actually enjoy it. I feel more confident and have no problem working with others.

ReplyDeleteI feel much more relaxed and comfortable to be infront of people who are constantly looking at me and I can create that fourth wall we learned in class between the actor and the audience.

In the begining of the semester i was more shy and not knowing what to do. At the end when getting in groups i get more ideas and is not as shy as I was at first.
