Romeo and Juliet

Compare Don Juan’s philosophy on love with Romeo’s philosophy on love? Which philosophy do you believe in and which one is more realistic?

  1. Don Juan philosphy on love when compared to Romeo's is somewhat like a joke and burden. It makes Romeo's philosophy on staying with one love seem dull and boring, and almost fake. But for me, I believe in Romeo's point of view and believe it's more realistic in the sense that ever girl wants to be loved and cared for by 1 man, and every boy wants to be the SOLE protector of a woman he loves...if that makes sense :)

  2. Don Juans philosophy in love is being able to have more than one women and pretty much be a player, just wanting to have fun. Romeos philosophy is more of having one love and being faithful and true to them. I believe in Romeos philosophy and agree with it. Now a days the more realistic philosophy is don Juan because many people and just not caring anymore and want anybody.

  3. The philosophy of Don Juan is to love many but not to settle down whereas Romeo's philosophy is to have only one love and be true to them.

As for me, I believe in Romeo's philosophy of only loving one person and being faithful to them! But as for today's society it seems that Romeo's philosophy has died down quite a bit with the high divorce rates and is more into Don Juan's philosophy with many cases of infidelity.

  4. Don juan feels that all women should experience love, and love with him. Romeo is more conservative and feels that his heart should belong to Juliet and Juliet alone. I believe in a bit of both because until we find our true love, we must all continue to search.

  5. Don Juan believes that every relationship is like a game, or a hunt for lust and sex, and once is attained, it time for a new challenge. In Romeo and Juliet, its a love in first sight situation, since Romeo had a girlfriend and Juliet was promised to someone, but decided to marry against the odds. I believe in the true love situation, because it is much more noble, and eventually possible to everyone.

  6. Don Juan believes that every relationship should be an open one. Romeo is more on the mohogamy side and to love one person at a time and his heart should be with that one special woman only

  7. Don Juan is a whore. Romeo is not. Romeo believes in true love, being faithful, etc. Don Juan believes in playing games and cheating. I like Romeo's belief better but these days there are a lot of people acting like 'Don Juans' if you know what I mean!!

  8. Personally I think, Don Juans philosophy of love is being a whore. he wants to have more than one women at a time. where Romeo believe in true love, being trustworthy and faithful to just 1 girl.

  12. Don Juan's philosophy on love is why have one when you can have many...spread the love. And Romeo's philosophy on love is finding that one person who you can bond with forever. As much as i think that Don Juan's player mentality is fun, I have to agree with Romeo's philosophy on finding that bond. Because i believe that once you find that bond, it'll be much greater than running around and playing. One day all that playing catches up.
