Using any fairy tale or classical story (for example Cinderella, Pinocchio), identify the four character types: protagonist, antagonist, confidante, and raisonneur(wise one).
In the story Pinocchio, the protagonist is the Pinocchio, the antagonist is Honest John, the confidante is the guy who created pinocchio, and the raisonneur is the fairy.
In Jack and the Beanstalk, the protagonist is Jack, the antagonist is the gaint, the confidante would be the gaints wife, and the raisonneur would be the "swindling" old man who guy jack the Beans
In the story Beauty and the Beast, the protagonist is Belle, the antagonist is the Beast, the confidante is Chip (the cup)& The candle, and the raisonneur is Mrs. Pots.
From Disney's 1973 animated film "Robin Hood", Robin Hood the heroic protagonist and his merry men Little John the confidante and Friar Tuck the raisonneur try to save the poor from the greedy Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham the antagonists.
In The Adventures of Peter Pan, Peter Pan is the protagonist. Wendy is the confidante. Tinkerbell is the raisonneur. And Captain Hook and his pirates are the antagonists.
