  1. more with the brother, since i would love to leave the house hold myself and live on my own, not needing to follow rules, and be ridiculed for my actions. But, as his problem, it would be harsh for my mother if i was to leave her, as i am the man of the house and help out the most in the family

  2. I most identify with Tom Wingfield, he releases his stress through writing and im the exact same way. I write when i feel stressed. I believe i least identify with the mother, Amanda because i am not a controlling person and i know if i was a mother i wouldnt be trying to live my life through my daughter.

  3. I resemble Tom mostly because he truly cares for his family members, but he does not show it that well. He has stayed and helped with the bills, and helping his sister find a guy. Both Tom and I show how we feel in actions, not words.
I am not like Tom's brother, Amanda, at all. She is very controlling and selfish, yet she lives through her childrens lives. I know I will never be like her when I have children.

  4. More so with the brother, Tom, because I am self-sufficient and i help take care of the siblings in my house. I am also sarcastic like he is. Im not like his sister because i am a social person, not an introvert.

  5. I think i can identify with Tom the brother. I am the second oldest of seven children and my mom and siglings are always looking to me for moneytary support. I can least identify with the mother because am not a mother yet, and i really dont know how i would react with my own kids.

  6. I could somewhat see myself in Tom in the sense that I'd sometimes view my mother as an annouyance, but at the same time I differ from him because I couldn't imagen leaving my sister and mom to pursue my own dreams.

  7. I would identify mostly with tom because he is who the family looks up to and he takes responsibility. I am least like Amanda because she is very controlling and i would never be like how she acts toward her children. Even though i am a mother, i will be better than that.

  8. In The Glass Menagerie, i most identify with Tom because like i do he dreams big. He wants to be happy and successful through doing something that makes him happy and something that he loves and so do I. I identify with Amanda the least because she seems very remorseful, controlling, and uptight while i consider myself more relaxed and laid back.

  9. I most identify with Tom because I have alot of goals that i want to achieve and will not let anyone stop me from achieving them. EX: becoming an RN in neonatal care. I'm the type of person that does what she wants and does not care about the cercumstances untill later on.

  10. The character who resembles me the most would have to be Tom since he has big aspirations and loves to write, but has been put to hold in order to take care of his family. Since I do to have big dreams that I want to pursue.

Whereas Amanda, is controlling and wants to live her dream through her children especially Laura. Hopefully, in the future when I have children I would not make the same mistakes as Amanda.

  11. I can identify myself with Tom, because he cares about his family a lot and he had to step up and become the man of the house when his dad is not around. I am doing the same thing, even though my dad is living with us but he is not working and am the only one working in the household. But when it comes to his mother i can not identify with her because she is so controlling and wants her children to make her dreams come true.

  12. I relate to Amanda. Amanda is able to use emtoional recall, when it is convienent to her, and finally escapes the brutal world she is incased in at the time being. I find that to be a strong trait since it is hard to leave the present and find joy in the past. I however do not relate to Tom. He seems to escape his troubles through materialistic possessions and I do not find those emotional escapes as solid as my real past emotional events that can make me happier in the moment.

  13. I mostly identify myself with Tom Wingfield because at the age of 16 I had to step up in raise my two younger brother when my mother was fighting breast cancer and i had to make sure they got to school, did they homework, cook, clean and help take care of my mother. Sometime i want to scream and run away, but i love my family to much to let them down.
